WELCOME

"It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried." —From On Becoming a Person, Carl Rogers, 1961

At times it can be really difficult to process experiences and emotions which impact mental wellbeing. Therapy can help you feel accepted, empowered, and understood. It can foster growth, self acceptance and greater self awareness. Therapy helps you to understand your own processes and what it is you need for your own wellbeing. You are the expert of you, and I am here to listen, provide a safe space, and aid you in unpicking and exploring what it is you bring into the session. I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing, empowerment, and emotional wellbeing.

Person centred therapy puts you, the client, at the heart of therapy. It is a key belief of the approach that you are the expert of you, and you know what is best for you. The sessions are lead by you and we explore together what you bring into the space so we can untangle what is going on for you, allowing difficult feelings and experiences to be processed in a way that promotes your wellbeing.

After you have made contact, I will offer you a free initial telephone consultation, where we can discuss your needs and how we will work together. After this, you will be invited to attend a session where we can talk in more depth and begin our work together. Sessions Last for 50 minutes and are held weekly. It is recommended that clients have 6-8 sessions to start with, more sessions can be booked for longer term work. I offer face to face, telephone, and video chat sessions. Face to face sessions take place within St Ann's Square, Manchester City Centre.

During sessions, I provide a safe and secure therapeutic relationship for you to talk, be listened to, understood, and accepted, so that you can explore what has brought you into therapy and start your journey towards, healing, empowerment and self acceptance. I do not offer advice, or solutions to your problems, I provide you with a way to make sense of what is going on for you so you can take steps towards better emotional wellbeing.

I am a qualified person centred therapist, who is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
